Christ, the Lord, is Risen Today (II)
(Another song with the same title can be found here.)
1.
Christ, the Lord, is ris'n today;
Christians haste your vows to pay;
Make your joy and praises known
At the Paschal Victim's throne;
For the sheep the Lamb has bled,
Sinless in the sinner's stead;
Christ, the Lord, is risn' on high;
Noe he lives, no more to die!
2.
Christ, the Victim undefiled,
god and sinners reconciled;
When in strange and awesome strife
Met together death and life;
Christians, on this happy day
Haste with joy your vows to pay;
Christ, the Lord is risn'n on high;
Now he lives, no more to die!
3.
Say, O wond'ring Mary, say
What you saw along the way.
"I beheld two angels bright,
empty tomb and wrappings white;
I beheld the glory bright
Of the risen Lord of light.
Christ, my hope, is ris'n again;
Now he lives, and lives to reign!"
4.
Christ, who once for sinners bled,
Now the firstborn from the dead,
Throned in endless might and pow'r,
Lives and reigns forevermore.
Hail, eternal Hope on high!
Hail, our King of Victory!
Hail, our Prince of Life adored!
Help and save us, gracious Lord!

Hymn Tune: Victimae Paschali

Be Joyful, Mary
1.
Be joyful, Mary heav'nly queen,
Guade Maria:
You Son who died was living seen,
ALLELUIA,
LAETARE,
O MARIA.
2.
The Son you bore by heaven's grace,
Gaude Maria:
Did all our guilt and sin efface,

Holy Patron, Thee Saluting
1.
Holy Patron, thee saluting
Here we meet, with hearts sincere;
Blest Saint Joseph, all unitying,
Call on thee to hear our prayer.
HAPPY SAINT, IN BLISS ADORING
JESUS, SAVIOR OF HUMAN KIND,
HEAR THY CHILDREN, THEE IMPLORING
MAY WE THY PROTECTION FIND.
2.
Thou who faithfully attended
Him whom heav'n and earth adore;
Who with pious care defended
Mary, Virgin ever pure.
3.
May our fervent prayers ascending,
Move thee for our souls to plead;
May thy smile of peace descending,
benedictions on us shed.
4.
Through this life, O watch around us!
Fill with love our ev'ry breath,
And, when parting fear surrounds us,
Guide us through the toils of death.
